This month 98 Country is honoring Chris Senger for his service in the Army National Guard and for all the great work he continues to do for veterans in Minnesota.

Chris was nominated by his friend, Amanda, who had this to say about him:

Chris served in the 34th Red Bull Division from 1983-2013 and served two tours in Iraq, as Sergeant First Class. He is currently the Commander of the Long Prairie VFW and is part of the Long Prairie Legion along with being the Commander of the American Legion Riders.

Today, Chris can be found at the Eagle's Healing Nest volunteering his time to help renovate buildings to house more veterans and help other veterans heal from the invisible wounds of war.

He is the type of person that would give the shirt off his back if need be and always goes out of his way to help others, no matter the situation. He truly is an inspiration to those who know him and we all look up to him and his leadership qualities.

Chris, from all of us here at 98 Country, we appreciate your service to our country and your continued dedication to helping your fellow veterans.

If there is a special veteran in your life that you'd like us to recognize make sure to nominate them for Veteran of the Month.
