I'm Just an Old Chunk of Coal (But I'm Gonna be a Diamond Someday) is a song written and originally  recorded by Billy Joe Shaver.  John Anderson recorded the song and released it in March of 1981.  The song scored a number four on the country chart.

Merle Haggard - "Chill Factor" - 1988

 

 

 

Chill Factor is a song written and recorded by Merle Haggard.  It was released in March of 1988 from the album of the same name.  The song reached number nine on the Billboard Hot Country Singles Chart.

This song was written by Jerry Gillespie and recorded by the father/daughter duo The Kendalls.  Released in September of 1977 and peaked at #1 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles Chart.

Patty Loveless - "Blame it on Your Heart" - 1993

 

 

 

Blame it on Your Heart is written by Harlan Howard and recorded by Patty Loveless.  The song charted for twenty weeks on the Billboard Hot Country Singles Chart reaching number one.  There's a cover version by Deborah Allen that was featured in the 1993 film The Thing Called Love.

News & Events from 1993:

Charly McClain - "Radio Heart" - 1985

 

 

This song is written by Stephen Davis and Dennis Morgan and recorded by Charly McClain.  This song was McClain's second number one on the Country Chart.
