Don and Phil Everly wrote "Cathy's Clown." The song was covered by country music artist Reba McEntire in 1989.  McEntire's version became her 13th number one single on the Billboard Hot Country Singles Chart.

Ron Milsap - "She Keeps the Home Fires Burning" -- 1985

 

 

"She keeps the Home Fires Burning" is a song written by Mike Reid, Don Pfrimmer and Dennis Morgan and recorded by Ron Milsap.  The song was released in April 1985.  It was his 26th number one hit on the country chart.

Nitty Gritty Dirt Band - "Dance Little Jean" -- 1983

 

 

"Dance Little Jean" is written by Jimmy Ibbotson and recorded by the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.  The song was released in 1983 and reached number nine on the Billboard Hot Country Singles Chart.

Donna Summer and Bruce Sudano wrote "Starting Over Again."  The song tells the story of a middle-aged couple separating after 30 years of marriage.  It was a number one country hit in 1980 for Dolly Parton.
