This song is written by Glenn Martin and Dave Kirby and reached number one on the country chart, his third in a row.  In the news in 1970,

John Conlee – “Friday Nite Blues” -- 1980

 

 

Written by Sonny Throckmorton and Rafe VanHoy.  Throckmorton recorded the song hit number 89 on the country chart.  Conlee released his version of the song and reached number two on the chart.

This top ten hit is written by Bobby Braddock and reached number six on the country chart.  In the news in 1982, the Vietnam Veterans memorial in Washington D.C. is dedicated and Equal Rights Amendment fails ratification June 30th.

You know the crowd was very small for a country music show, but he faked a curtain call just like it was years ago.

 


 

Tanya Tucker – “Two Sparrows in a Hurricane” -- 1992

 

 

This song scored at number two on the country chart.  Written by Mark Springer.
