Christmas is a time to enjoy the holidays with family as best you can. It might be one of the few times a year that you actually get to see these people. Perhaps, there's a reason for that. If you're from Minnesota, chances are someone in your family had a fight started over this:

1. Muddy boots. My grandma always gets worked up every year because her entry way gets filled up with muddy boots and snow. You can barely get in and out of the doorway. If mud and snow gets on her carpet, heads will roll.

2. Jackets all over. My grandma also gets worked up every year from relatives putting their jackets and coats everywhere. She'll put the jackets in her guest room, but then family members get mad that she moved their coats when they can't find them.

3. Too many people trying to talk to you at once. In my family, Christmas is a loud time. Everyone is always talking at once. So, who do you tune into? You only have two years. Fights definitely get started this way.

4. What to watch on TV. If you're from Minnesota, it's not like you can just go outside and throw the football around on Christmas. It's freezing out, and snow is everywhere. So, the next best thing is the TV. Fights definitely get started over who gets the TV remote.

5. Board games. If you're more into spending time with your family than watching TV on Christmas. Chances are, you play some type of games. Depending on how competitive your family is, fights definitely get started over board games.

6. Loading up the gifts. I have 4 siblings. Every year my mom would make my brother and I bring the gifts to the car. It wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't zero degrees outside. My brother and I would always fight about who had to bring gifts to the car.

7. The good chairs. Every Minnesota family has a chair or sitting spot that everyone fights over. Whether it's a nice recliner, heated seat, cozy and warm or just has a really good viewing spot--everyone wants it. Let's face it--if you're the oldest, there's no way you're sitting on the floor. Fights definitely get started over who gets to sit in the nice comfy spots on Christmas.

8. Parking. Nothing says, "let's start a fight on Christmas" more than a family member who parked their car like a jerk. It's cold out and we're all suffering together. Just because Aunt Maryanne wants to leave Christmas early does not give her the right to park at the end of the driver so no one else can pull their cars in. Park on the road Aunt Maryanne!!
