7th Grader Punished For Twerking at School Event [VIDEO]

Ever since Miley Cyrus' performance at the Video Music Awards, I feel like all we hear about is twerking.  The mere pronunciation of the word irritates me as much as the moves associated with it.

A mother in Bakersfield, California was understandably furious when she found out her daughter was dancing in such a manner and is taking action to make sure her 7th grader never twerks again.

I think mom was right in this case.  It was inappropriate for Miley to do on television and it's not right for a girl as young as her to be doing at a school event.  I can't believe the school didn't step in but kudos to this mom for teaching her daughter a valuable lesson.
