Recently I've been trying to eat a lot healthier and not eat outside of the home very often. I try to make going out to eat a treat instead of a routine.

So far, it has been working out pretty well. I haven't gone out to eat in over 15 days. (That's probably a record for me in my adulthood).

My choice to eat healthier seems to be even more worth while when I find out things like this! EatThis.com ranked the worst food court snacks and meals you can order. Some of these were my former go-to snacks at the mall. YIKES!

1.  Worst snack:  Auntie Anne's Pepperoni Pretzel with Hot Salsa Cheese Dip.  It's a pretzel with pepperoni on it, and it's 570 calories.

2.  Worst pizza:  Sbarro Stuffed Sausage and Pepperoni, 810 calories per slice. I am a pizza lover. It's no secret that this type of food isn't healthy for you, but who knew just how bad it actually is.

3.  Worst Chinese food:  Panda Express Orange Chicken with Fried Rice.  It has 900 calories and 34 grams of fat. And, I'm always hungry and ready for a snack an hour after I eat Chinese take-out. This was the exact meal I'd always order at PE.

4.  Worst frozen treat:  A Brownie Cookie Dough Blizzard from Dairy Queen, 1,150 calories. Again, it's crazy because this is probably my favorite Blizzard on the menu. I'm not sure if the calories reflect the small, medium, large or mini size.

5.  Worst burger:  Five Guys Bacon Cheeseburger, 920 calories.

6.  Worst sandwich:  Panera's Steak and White Cheddar Panini, 1,050 calories. Who would have guessed that a Panera sandwich could have so many calories??

7.  Worst overall:  The Caramel Pecanbon at Cinnabon.  It's 1,080 calories with 51 grams of fat. That's why it smells so good. We don't have a Cinnabon in St. Cloud, but there are many places like it.

I don't think these foods would be so bad if we had them in moderation. Yes, if we eat these things every day it's horrible for us, but if we "treat" ourselves once-in-a-while it's probably not the end of the world.
