The jackpot going into the April 5 Powerball drawing was an estimated $170,000,000 and while nobody won the whole jackpot there were big cash winners.

Someone purchased a Powerball ticket in Minnesota for that drawing and won $50,000. However, they have yet to claim that big payday. The winning Powerball numbers on April 5 were: 3-5-9-42-52 Powerball 11, Power Play 2x.

According to the Minnesota State Lottery, the $50,000 winning ticket was purchased just north of Sandstone at the following location:

To win $50,000 the winner would've matched 4 out of 5 white numbers while also matching the Powerball number. Amazingly close to winning the jackpot! The big question is, who is the lucky winner?

Unless they decide to come forward publicly, we may never know. Lottery regulation changes took place to protect winners who win over $10,000. Big-money winners can become targets for scammers and fraud, so the Minnesota Lottery will not divulge their name unless they first agree to it.

The next Powerball drawing is set for 9:59 p.m. on Monday, April 10, with an estimated jackpot of $192,000,000. If you won and chose the cash option, you'd take home just under $105 million.

If you want to take a shot at all that cash, remember the cutoff to purchase your Powerball tickets is 9:00 p.m. on the days of the drawings, which are Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.

If you recently purchased a Powerball ticket in Finlayson, Minnesota, you should double-check your numbers, you could be holding a ticket worth $50,000.
