I love Christmas and I love watching it makes its way in to the stores and neighborhoods this time of year.

The holidays have been going on for awhile now but I feel like everything is coming together for an awesome Christmas.  Here's a few ways I can tell:

  1. There are crowds everywhere from the post office to the mall to the coffee shop
  2. The Christmas sales are out in full force
  3. There are all kinds of local holiday performances
  4. You have that one friend who brags about being done with their holiday shopping at the end of November
  5. Smell your neighbor's delicious baking outside your own house
  6. Parents with young kids going in and out of the garage hiding gifts
  7. Young kids sneaking in the garage to find said presents
  8. Carolers coming to your door to spread Christmas cheer
  9. People start dressing their pets up as Santa and elves
  10. Can't find sprinkles at the grocery store
  11. Giant wreaths make their way to the outside of the malls
  12. People are a bit more rude and pushy
  13. People belting out Christmas songs in the car next to you (yes, that's me!)
  14. Tons of delicious baked goods make their way in to the break room at work
  15. Parking lots look more like race tracks since everyone is in a hurry
  16. Christmas lights are everywhere
  17. Santa starts hanging out at the mall
  18. You have one co-worker/friend who has an absolute freak out because they've been waiting for Christmas since July
  19. You have one co-worker/friend who has an absolute freak out because there are just a few days left and they haven't started shopping
  20. The Salvation Army bell ringers are out in full force
  21. Sunday School children put on performances of the Christmas story
  22. Neighbor starts wearing his/her elf suit
  23. Your one neighbor who really hates Christmas puts up his inflatable Grinch outside
  24. You start quoting all your favorite Christmas movies
  25. People have Christmas trees strapped to the top of their vehicle

How can you tell it's Christmas time in Minnesota?
