ST. CLOUD - A man was shot in north St. Cloud this (Wednesday) afternoon. St. Cloud Police Sergeant Jason Burke says it happened at about 1:00 p.m. in the 100 block of 18th Avenue North.

Have a 21-year-old male victim, believed to be a St. Cloud resident. He sustained injuries from a gun shot. He's currently receiving treatment at the emergency room. I do not have information on the extent of his injuries or how serious they are at this time. It's an active investigation and we don't have any other information to release at this time.

Burke says they do not have anyone in custody yet, but he says he believes it's an isolated incident and that there's no threat to the public safety.

More information is expected to be released later.
