Did you know that Minnesota is home to the first indoor shopping mall, bunt cake, Bob Dylan and even Zubaz? Well, now you do. Check out 15 reasons why you should be proud to call yourself a Minnesotan.

1. Bob Dylan is from Minnesota. He was born here in 1941.

2. Bunt cake. We made it popular in the 1950's. A local business man invented the sweet looking pan.

3. We are known for being Minnesota nice.

4. Red Wing Shoes. It's a business that started here in Minnesota. Even some celebs have been spotted sporting the boots.

5. We play Duck, Duck, Gray Duck. Don't call it Duck, Duck Goose.

6. Zubaz. These strange looking pants started here. I'm not sure if we want to take credit for this one or not.

7. Juicy Lucy. Need I say more?

8. Indoor shopping malls. Edina's Southdale Mall was the first indoor shopping mall in the world...and how could we forget the Mall of America?

9. Jessica Biel. She's from Ely, Minnesota. Now she's married to my 10-year-old self's crush Justin Timberlake.

10. Scotch Tape and Post-It notes. 3M started in Minnesota. What would the world look like without these two products? I've been saved in many situations because these things exist.

11. Cereal. General Mills is a Minnesota company. General Mills cereal was my childhood--Cookie Crisp.

12. We had the first Target store. It opened in Roseville in 1962. The headquarters are located in Minneapolis.

13. John Gagliardi. He's the former Saint John's University football coach who holds the title as being the most winningest coach in college football history.

14. Judy Garland. She is best known for her role as Dorthy in the Wizard of Oz. She grew up in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. Fun fact--My great great grandmother used to babysit Judy Garland.

15. Lakes. Minnesota is known as the land of 10,000 lakes. We can go ice fishing in the winter and tubing in the summer. It's the best.
