Already the top-scoring team in the country coming into the weekend, the St. Cloud State  Huskies (20-5-1) followed up Friday night's 8-2 win over Western Michigan (7-14-3), with a 7-3 over the Broncos on home ice Saturday night. The Huskies have outscored WMU 31-8 in four games this season.

The Huskies lead the nation with 113 goals, and are second in the nation with a scoring average of 4.35 points per game.  The team record for best PPG in one season is 4.26 (2001-02).

SCSU also leads the nation with a scoring margin of +2.35 this season, and their 2.00 goals allowed per game average this season ranks 7th in the nation.

Next up, the Huskies head to St. Paul for the 2016 Northstar Cup -- featuring SCSU, Bemidji State, Minnesota State (Mankato), and the Gophers in the weekend tourney. UMD is the odd team out this year. St. Cloud State will face Mankato at 1 PM Saturday (1/30) afternoon, with the winner facing the victor of the Gophers/Beavers game at 4 PM on Sunday (1/31) afternoon for the title.
