2012 Veterans Day Parade

I had the honor of driving the 98 Country hummer in the Veterans Parade yesterday in St. Cloud. It was an experience I'll never forget. As the parade started moving, many of the Veterans who reside in the VA Nursing Home were brought outside in their wheelchairs, bundled up against the cold. I wanted to jump out of the hummer, hug all of them and say thank you! As the parade moved on, I decided I would come back another day very soon to do just that. As we drove along the parade route, it was an emotional sight as Veterans stood next to each large American Flag that had been posted. Others were saluting and standing at attention. I was humbled, and even as I write this, I can't find the words to truly express how it felt to be in the midst of such great men and women. Hope to see all of you there next year.
