12 Things Every Central Minnesotan Loves
Central Minnesotans are unique but we all share a few things we enjoy that are sure to put a smile on our face. It's the little things in life that bring us the most joy. If you can relate to the things on this list, then you're a central Minnesotan at heart.
Val's fries--Dude, if you've never had Val's, do you even go here? Get with the program.
Tree faces--Not sure why they're a thing but people are passionate about them.
Lakes--Living by them, going to them, looking at them, fishing on them, swimming in them etc...they keep life spicy.
Gopher Bargain Center Chair--It's a big chair that makes us look tiny. It's hilarious and if you don't think so then you're from Wisconsin.
Summertime by George--It meets all of our basic needs. 1. it's by a lake, 2. there's music, 3. there's beer. DONE! All the food groups!
Garages--because, you don't know what a luxury they are until you have to scrape snow off your car. Aint nobody got time for that.
Benton County Fair--There's no entrance fee and the food is deep fried. It's my summer jam.
Fabulous Armadillos--Cover bands covering my favorite songs...you connect the dots. Plus, they literally have FABULOUS in their name. #Dillohead
Craft beer--because we like being classy AS FUNK. Straight class and sass.
Quarries--you don't know what a real thrill is until you jump into the quarry from the cliff and belly flop on the water. It burns so good.
Fish fries--a sure fire way to impress me on a first date is to take me to a Friday night fish fry. Nothing says love like tartar sauce and a side of coleslaw.
Crossroads--it's not just where we shop...it's how we socialize in sub zero temps.
