Soon the snow will be falling in St. Cloud. Some people absolutely love it--and then there's me. Snow in St. Cloud is pretty awful and here's why:

1. St. Cloud drivers are bad enough. Add snow into the mix and you're just asking for trouble.

2. I can never find a parking spot at the mall. I absolutely hate when the big pile of snow automatically claims 20 parking spots until it melts in May. It's also unfair that you're not allowed to go sledding on it.

3. It takes me 30 minutes to drive down the entire stretch of Division in the summer. In the winter it takes me at least 45 minutes. That's just insane. No one has time for that!

4. It seems like no one shovels their sidewalks properly and the walking space is nearly nonexistent.

5. You have to run everywhere. It's almost like everyone is trying out for the track team. We don't simply walk into a store anymore, we sprint from our cars.

6. Your car has heat but you probably never feel it. If you're like me, the car doesn't warm up until you finally get wherever it is you're going to...unless you're driving on Division. Oh gee, thanks car!

7. You can't wear your new shoes. That nice new pair of sneakers you got from your mom for Xmas--save them until spring. They're just going to get dirty and gross if you wear them now. The streets are full of dirty sludge.

8. Don't even get me started on winter parking restrictions. :(

9. Ever try pushing a cart to your car when there's snow on the ground? LOL it's not so easy, is it?

10. The floor of every store looks like a sewage line exploded. It will be that way until spring.

Don't get me wrong. I love St. Cloud. It's a great place to live, but I could definitely do without the snow--for awhile anyway.
