School is out, it's hot and EVERYONE seems to go to the splash pad. That's not a bad idea, but here are a few ways to beat the heat at home without a pool.

1. Play cold potato. Fill up a water balloon and poke a hole in it. Pass the balloon around in a circle. The object of the game is to not be the person with the balloon when it runs out of water.

2. Play Marco Polo without a pool! Instead, have one person be blind folded with a water gun.

3. Have a water balloon fight.

4. Make smoothies.

5. Play water balloon baseball. Instead of using a ball, hit home runs with water balloons. It will feel great when the balloons explode.

6. Have an indoor picnic.

7. Run through the sprinkler.

8. Turn your swing set slide into a water slide with your garden hose.

9.  Spray down your sandbox with water and turn it into beach sand! When the kids are ready to come into the house, spray them down with the hose.

10. Make your own juice pops in the freezer using ice cube trays and tooth picks!
